**Obituary for Frances J. Johnson**
Mrs. Frances Jean Carter Johnson was born May 17, 1947, in Timmonsville South Carolina. She was the daughter of Henry Carter and Ethel Lee Faison Carter. She went home to be with our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, September 21. 2021.
She was a graduate of Johnstown High School class of 1966. She was married to the love of her life Rudolph "Jack" Johnson, on January 29, 1968. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
At an early age, she gave her life to the Lord. Everyone that knew Frances, knew that she was a caring compassionate, and selfless individual, who always put others before herself. The love she had for her family was unmeasurable. She was there to give advice and lend a listening ear.
She is predeceased in death by her husband, Rudolph "Jack" Johnson, and her father Henry Carter.
She leaves to cherish her memories to her mother Ethel Lee Carter; daughters, Tonya Johnson, Angelique (Marcus)Solomon, Carla (Glenn) Brantley, Jacqueline Johnson,LaRhonda Moses, Minister Chanel (Elder Ricky)Porchea, and Megan Daniels; thirteen grandchildren, Jamal Johnson, and Ashleigh Johnson (raised in the home); seventeen great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Ethel Semley; special friend of the family, Frank "Geno" Bethea; host of aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

**Obituary for Jimmy J. Hunter**
Jimmy Jermaine Hunter was born July 25, 1978, in Florence, South Carolina. He was the son of Jimmy Holloman and to the late Julie Hunter. Jimmy departed this life on September 21, 2021.
Jimmy married Shontell Hunter on September 26, 2009 (for 11 years). He was employed with Ruiz Foods in Florence, South Carolina for two years. Jimmy was a member of Faith Kingdom Builders Outreaching Ministries in Florence, South Carolina since 2008 under Pastor Timothy Criss until 2018.
Left to cherish precious memories are: his daughters Alasia Lighty, Jaliah Hunter; his father Jimmy Holloman; sisters Amy Robinson (Chris Robinson/husband), Shereika Brown; brothers Daniel Hunter; Leon Hunter; Reginald Brown, Kingyatti Brown; step-children Shimarah Murph, Mahnazaah Murph, Azahla Carter, Ya’Quah Carter; five grandchildren Ja’Kya, Ja’Nya, Amyracle, Aubri, Kable Jr.; Step-grandchildren Na’Vaeha, Nyasia, Jahaari, Maliek, Monty, Chanel; and a childhood best friend Shawn Black. He also leaves behind many nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He will be missed for his laughter, his golden heart, energy and his bright beautiful smile.

**Obituary for Vander McCutcheon**
Mr. Vander McCutcheon, the son of the late Eddie McCutcheon and Alice Bright McCutcheon was born November 27, 1937 in Moncks Corner, South Carolina. He departed this earthly life on September 21, 2021.
Mr. Vander McCutcheon joined the United States Armed Forces in 1954 and served faithfully in the Air Force until 1958, where he gained a formal education.
After completing his tour of duty, he relocated to Florence, South Carolina and became employed at McLeod Regional Hospital, as an orderly. He later gained employment as a brick mason for several years before his retirement.
Mr. McCutcheon lived a full rich life without any limitation. He traveled around the world and experienced all the greatness that the world had to offer him. In return, he shared all the greatness he had within him with everyone he came in contact with. He also believed in giving back to charities such as: Billy Graham Ministries, Mercy Ship, St. Jude Hospital, and Wounded War Veterans.
He impacted many lives by sharing the gospel of Christ, his love, kindness, wisdom and knowledge. All he ever wanted was to help others and show them his warm smile. His favorite quote: “I must be doing something right because God keep favoring me.”
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Alice McCutcheon; five brothers, Lawrence McCutcheon, Glenn McCutcheon, Freddie McCutcheon, Roland McCutcheon, and Eddie Jay McCutcheon, Jr.; and three sisters, Zena Mae Johnson, Sara Lee Lester, and Ruth McCutcheon; and a son-in-law, Rayford Nicholson.
Mr. Vander McCutcheon leaves to cherish his precious memories: a loving son, Steve (Becky) Augilera of Sussex, England; a devoted daughter, Teresa Nicholson of Florence, South Carolina; a brother, Curtis McCutcheon of Florence, South Carolina; five grandchildren, Molesey Crawford of Columbia, South Carolina, Assyrian Brunson of Portsmouth, Virginia; Raequelle Nicholson and Calvin Nicholson both of Florence, South Carolina, and Ruth Augilera of Sussex, England; five great grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends.
The family will receive friends 1-5 PM Sunday, September 25, 2021 at 845-B East Pine St., Florence

**Obituary for Ernest Darby**
On Wednesday, September 22, 2021, our sweet brother, Ernest Darby, entered into everlasting rest. Ernest was born on August 10, 1965 in Sumter County. He was a loving son of the late Sonny Boy and Beulah Darby. He received his education in the public schools in the area of Sumter County. Those left to cherish his memories other than his sisters, Gloria Darby of the home, Marie Bradford of Columbia; one uncle, Delgard Bradford of the home; three step children, Bernard Davis, Aliyah Davis, Kadesa Davis; father and mother-in-law, Julius and Anna Mack of Lamar; his grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In accordance with the COVID-19 guidelines, the family is requesting that face masks and social distancing be observed by relatives and friends during visitation at the home, 4400 Broad Street, # 38, Sumter. Graveside services will be held 1:00 p. m., Monday, September 27, 2021 at Roderick Cemetery, Lamar. The procession will leave the home at 12:00 noon.

Brenda A. Ross, the daughter of the late Thomas Pringle and Ella Nora Ford, was born November 14, 1961 in Sumter. She departed this life on September 21, 2021. Brenda was educated in the public schools of Sumter County. She was a woman of few words and had a loving and giving heart. She loved fishing, listening to her old records and cooking. She also had a passion for being a tax preparer and lots of love for her family and friends. Always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone. **Obituary for MaeCeal Hughes (Hughes) Williams**
Mother MaeCeal Hughes Williams departed this life on Monday, September 27, 2021, at McLeod Hospice House in Florence, SC. She is the mother of Carol W. Tindal, Ethel "Cookie" W. Rush. Glaris "Nuckie" W. Bethea, and Sylvia W. McDonald. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Glad Williams, her daughter Mae Hazel Williams Willis, and her son, Steven Williams.
The family is receiving friends daily from 3-6 pm at the home of her daughter, Glaris "Nuckie" Williams Bethea, 704 Mulberry Road, Centenary, SC.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Sunday, October 3, 2021, at 1 pm in the Henry L. Jackson Memorial Park, 612 South Main Street in Marion, SC 29571.
Note: Due o the COVID-19 pandemic, funeral services for Mother Williams will be limited to a 50-person guest list for seating purposes.
**Obituary for James Moses**
Mr. James Moses, son of the late Mr. Lewis and Rosa Peoples Moses, was born September 21, 1927 in Darlington County, South Carolina. He passed away quietly on Tuesday, September 21, 2021.
Deacon Moses was a member of the Riven Rock Lodge #60. He accepted Christ and joined Mount Tabor and New Mount Tabor churches in Darlington, South Carolina. He was an active member and faithfully served each season while in good health. Some of the areas he served in included the usher board, choir and deacons board. Deacon Moses also served faithfully as the Sunday school Superintendent and teacher for many years.
Deacon James Moses was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years: Carrie Bell Friday Brown Moses; six brothers: Clayton Moses, Woodrow Moses, Willie Moses, Otis Moses, Earnest Moses, and Clio Moses; five sisters: Fannie Moses, Elizabeth Isaac, Queen Dickey, Mary Rouse, and Martha Davis.
He leaves to cherish his memories: two daughters, Alice Lee Moses of the home and Margie Ham of Timmonsville, South Carolina; two sons John (Geraldine) Brown, Jr., of Darlington, South Carolina and Ralph (Arthine) Brown of Effingham, South Carolina; three sisters, Margaret Perkins and Hattie Bines of New York, New York, and Helen McQuay of Maricopa, Arizona; eleven grandchildren, Theresa (Richard) Lighty, Bryant (Tracie) Ham, Melody (Edward) R .McCray all of Columbia, South Carolina, Revela Nesbit of Charlotte, North Carolina, Ralphine Brown of Florence, South Carolina, Kelvin Brown of Atlanta, GA, Janet Black of Charlotte, North Carolina, Christine Ham of Charlotte, North Carolina, Lucas (Crystal) Brown of Florence, South Carolina, Felicia (Terry) Joe of Greenville, South Carolina, and LaToya Ham of Charlotte, North Carolina; three adopted grandchildren, Zoriada Pompey, Domiano Stokes and Tyrell McDowell of Timmonsville, South Carolina; twenty-two great grandchildren and twenty-three great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews , cousins and friends.
**Obituary for Bryant Jermaine Singletary**
Mr. Bryant Jermaine Singletary was born April 19, 1978 in Darlington, South Carolina, a son of the late Josephine Singletary Boyce. He entered his final resting place on Friday, September 24, 2021 at Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center, Hartsville, South Carolina.
He received his formal education in the Darlington County Public Schools System, graduating from Darlington High School, Class of 1996.
At an early age, he attended Mt. Rona Missionary Baptist Church.
He was employed at Yahnis as a driver until his recent death.
Bryant was a loving son, father, brother, fiancé, nephew and friend. Bryant had a passion for basketball, fishing and cartoons. He was very generous at helping people throughout the community. He coached youth basketball for the recreation department and was known for his streetball skills where he would play in Florence and Darlington. Bryant was known for helping friends and people with a place to stay and often would ask his mother to let them live with the family until they was straight.
Those left to cherish his memories are: his sisters, Corinthian Singletary of Columbia, SC and Laine (Eric) Brown of Darlington, SC; his children: Brittany Brown of Darlington, SC, Naderrick Williams of New York, Keira Singletary of the home and Diashauede “DJ” Joint of Darlington, SC; his fiancé, Lisa Rouse of the home. Bryant also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
