Darlington Kiwanis Club Presents Three $1,000 Scholarships

The Darlington Kiwanis Club will present its $1,000 David A. Cohen scholarships to three deserving Key Clubbers on Thursday, July 15. Those recipients are Laine Ward, Emily Wenteler, and Makayla Miller.

The David A. Cohen Scholarship is given in memory of long time Kiwanian David Cohen. Applicants must be a member in good standing of the Darlington High School Key Club; plan to attend a two-year or four-year post high school institution in the fall of the year that the scholarship is awarded; provide a letter of recommendation from a school-affiliated individual on scholastics and citizenship and a letter from an individual in the community that is not associated with the school administration; and file academic record.

The next meeting will be Thursday, August 5, when the Club will pack school supplies for children in need at Darlington High School.
