Florence County Seniors Receive Emergency Weather Radios From Duke Energy Foundation

The Senior Citizens Association (SCA) in Florence County received 125 Emergency radios from the Duke Energy Foundation. These radios will be distributed to Florence County Home Bound Seniors/Meals on Wheels of Florence County clients.

SCA is extremely appreciative for Duke Energy’s generous donation of emergency radios to help our seniors be prepared in a crisis.

The radios will help seniors with disaster preparedness. The emergency weather radios feature power backup, solar power, and hand crank charging. Duke also provided a storm preparedness checklist to further help our seniors in case of power outages due to storms.
