*Obituary Rashad McCoy*

Mr. Rashad Tyriq “Shad” McCoy was born January 2, 2003 to Eddie and Rennie McCoy in Hartsville, South Carolina. He transitioned into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, South Carolina.

Rashad attended the Public Schools of Darlington County and was a proud student at Hartsville High School.

Rashad was a member of Second Missionary Baptist Church in Hartsville, South Carolina under the leadership of Reverend J. D. Blue.

Rashad, known to many as “Shad” was employed with McDonald’s Restaurant in Hartsville, South Carolina. He was a hard and dependable worker.

Rashad enjoyed basketball, hanging with friends, and spending time with family and friends. He loved the Seattle Seahawks. His sisters and his brothers were his best friends.

Rashad was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Eddie Ray McCoy.

Rashad leaves to cherish his precious memories: his father, Eddie McCoy; mother, Rennie McManus-McCoy; three sisters, De’Asia, Aytiana, and Ni’Zeria; two brothers, Ke’Arius and Jah’Zarrius; twelve aunts, Ivory Boyce-Bierbrauer (Eric), Monique Boyce, Chasity Boyce, Cherise Dailey, Crystal Brown, Natelyn Johnson (James), Tamala Austin (Benjamin), Shakia Fuller (Derryl), Lavona Brockington (Jerrod), La’Tasha Briggs (Deon), Shekimi Robinson (Richard) and Renata Brunson; two uncles, Christopher McManus and Titus McCoy; maternal grandparents, Billy Boyce, Lydell Boyce, Barney Dailey, and Yvonne Dailey; paternal grandparents, Linda McCoy; a special aunt, Teresa “Nan” Davis; three special cousins, Shaniyah Segars, Angela Smith, and Ashton Goins; a special friend, Arriyanna Washington; and a host of uncles, aunts, other relatives, and friends.

*Obituary Mrs. Carrie Mae Jones*

Mrs. Carrie Mae Jones, the daughter of the late Jesse and Lou Ann Muldrow, departed this earthly life on June 12, 2021, at the local hospital after a brief illness. She was born April 3, 1953, in Florence County.

She attended the public schools of Florence County and graduated in 1972 from Southside High School.

On June 14, 1972, she was united in holy matrimony to the late Mr. Clayton Jones. The Lord blessed them with three children.

Carrie attended St. Matthews COGICJ, Apostolic where she was baptized in Jesus' name. She was a member of the usher board. She worked at McLeod Hospital for over 40 years she retired in 2018.

She was a hard-working woman and loved God. She would do anything for her family.

Those left to cherish her precious memories are her three children, Jesse (Lizzie) Jones of Effingham, SC, Latonia (Charles) Harley of Timmonsville, SC, and Anthony Jones of Florence, SC; eight grandchildren, Akeem Harley, Tyrin Jones, Tameria McInnis, Christopher (Jordyn) Harley, Tamya McInnis, James Jones, Jacob Jones, and Jestin Jones, one great-grand, Mylan Bradley; six sisters, Lucille Graham, Betty Muldrow, Loretta Graham, Hazel Muldrow, Darlene Muldrow, Meeka Muldrow all of Effingham SC, mother in law Bessie, Mae Jones, six sisters in law, Thelma Jones, Josephine Jones Bernice Johnson, Annie Nettles, Debby Simmons, all of Effingham S.C. and Melanie (Jimmy) McConico, of Fayetteville Georgia; three brothers-in-law, Alfred (Tonya) Jones, Tony (Donna) Jones and Quintin (Racquel) Jones all of Florence, SC with a host of uncles and aunts, nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.

*Obituary Mrs. Lisa R. Alford*

It is with profound sorrow that the management and staff of Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc. announces the passing of Mrs. Lisa R. Alford of Darlington. Mrs. Alford passed on Saturday afternoon, June 12, 2021 in the Medical University of South Carolina-Charleston following a brief illness.

Funeral service for Ms. Lisa R. Alford will be 12:00 Noon on Saturday, June 19, 2021 in New Life Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, Inc. Interment will follow in the Round O Baptist Church Cemetery. Public viewing is Friday, June 18, 2021 from 12:00 Noon to 5:00 PM in the chapel of Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc.

Lisa Renee Alford was born on January 22, 1963 in Savannah, Georgia to the late Willie and Birdie Mae Grice. She peacefully departed this earthly journey on Saturday, June 12, 2021 with family by her side.

Lisa was educated in the public schools of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she graduated from William Penn High School. After high school, she was employed as a nursing assistant for many years. In 2007, Lisa and her family relocated to Darlington, South Carolina. She became employed by McLeod Regional Medical Center, where she received the Merit McLeod Award in 2018. Lisa was a member of New Life Church of Our Lord Jesus, Inc. in Florence, South Carolina.

In 1994, Lisa was united in Holy Matrimony to James Alford. They were happily married for twenty-seven years, but built over thirty years of memories. Together they shared three daughters, Nyeesha, Teressa, and Theresa.

Lisa was a very special person to so many. Her heart was filled with so much love and care for everyone, especially her family. She had a gentle spirit of giving to others and never would turn down an opportunity to help. She had a strong work ethic and never sat still. Her infectious laugh and smile will live on forever in our hearts.

In addition to her parents, Lisa was preceded in death by her brother, Otis Perkins.

Lisa leaves to cherish fond and precious memories to her devoted husband, James Alford; loving daughters, Nyeesha R. Alford, Teressa N. Alford, and Theresa N. Alford; stepson, James Walton; brothers-in-law, William (Eva Mae) Alford, Roosevelt Alford and Leo (Anita) Josey; sisters-in-law, Lelia Williamson, Betty (Henry) Graham, Janet Alford Moore, Evelyn (Thomas) Robinson, Connie (Marvin) Richards, Dorothy Benjamin, Lillian (Wendell) Dixon, Mary Lee, Sue Alford, Paula Alford, and Mattie Perkins; special nieces, Sandra (Derek) Perkins-Butts; Maria (David) Perkins-Hicks, Kiara Perkins-Collier, and Shan Alford; step grandson, Antoine Perkins; and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends whom all will miss her dearly.

Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the residence, 1641 Elissa Drive, Darlington.
