An Open Letter Regarding Sexton Dental Clinic

To the President of Carolina Regional Dental, located at 415 W Palmetto Street, Florence S C 29501
Dear Sir/Madam:
I entered Carolina Regional Dental on [March 30, 2021] fully expecting to have a root canal done by your office. My expectation was based solely on information supplied on the phone by more than one person who represented themselves as employees of Carolina Regional Dental.
Your representatives were made aware of the facts surrounding my primary dentist's examination and conclusion. On March 30, 2021, other employees in Carolina Regional Dental informed me the root canal could not be done. I told your employees three or four times while in your office; “I have been misinformed.” No employee responded to my statement of being “misinformed.”
While paying the $68 in your office, I asked the employee accepting my payment for a copy of all my medical records, which she denied except for giving me a receipt for payment. A short time later I repeated the request to another employee in Carolina Regional Dental who gave me some of my medical records, but not all. I feel you know the law with regards to the production of the patient's medical records and making them available to the patient upon request.
I am requesting Carolina Regional Dental refund not only the $68 I was charged and paid, but pay me $100 since I had to pay someone to drive me to your office.
If this is not agreeable with you, there are multiple options available to me to obtain a right resolution.
