2021 Youth Of The Year

The 2021 Pee Dee Area Youth of the Year competition was held on Saturday, February 27 (masks were worn by all attendees and social distancing was strictly enforced). Candidates from Florence, Hemingway, and Lake City were interviewed by a panel of judges from the local community and gave oral presentations to attendees (BGC staff, judges, and parents). Candidates were chosen based on their academics, character, and involvement in the Clubs.

Tykeisha, the Rick & Susan Goings Boys & Girls Club Youth of the Year from Hemingway, was named the 2021 Pee Dee Area Youth of the Year.

Congratulations to Tykeisha and the two other wonderful candidates, Nydia and Iyama, on a job well done!
