AESC, a world-leading Japanese battery technology company, held a groundbreaking ceremony Wednesday on its new battery plant in Florence County, South Carolina.
In attendance were Gregg Robinson, Chief Executive Officer, Florence County Economic Development Partnership; Harry Lightsey, Secretary of Commerce; SC Governor Henry McMaster; Jeff Deaton, Managing Director, AESC US; Willard Dorriety, Chairman, Florence County Council; Rev. Waymon Mumford, Florence County Councilman, District 7; City of Florence Mayor Teresa Myers-Ervin; and Florence County Economic Development Partnership Chairman, Rocky Pearce.
AESC’s battery plant will be located across from Wilson High School.
