Religious Radio Station in SC One of a Kind in the US

Radio Bahá’í, WLGI, is a non-commercial educational radio station, that has served northeastern South Carolina since 1984.

Radio Bahá’í is hosted at the Louis G. Gregory Bahá’í Institute, located near Hemingway, South Carolina. The station is owned by the Regional Bahá’í Council of the Southeastern States, and it is currently funded wholly from contributions of the Baha’is of the United States.

Radio Bahá’í strives to reflect universal spiritual principles and the application of the teachings of the Baha’i FaithOpens in a new window in its programing.

Radio Bahá’í serves Horry, Georgetown, Williamsburg, Florence and Marion counties, in South Carolina, and are the areas for which the provides announcements, partners with local organizations and agencies, and supports with remote broadcasts at 90.9 FM. The station broadcasts a variety of programming, both religious and secular.

The station has a few paid staff, but depend heavily on volunteers.
