Michelle Obama Club Invites Rep. Gilliard To Deliver Keynote Address Concerning Hate Crime Bill

The Michelle Obama Club (MOC), an affiliate of the South Carolina Federation of Women and Youth Clubs (SCFWYC), Inc. and the National Association of Colored Women’s Clubs (NACWC), invited Rep. Wendell Gilliard as their keynote speaker to assist in their work to help pass the South Carolina House Bill 3620, better known as the Clementa Pinckney Hate Crime Bill. Jasper County is home to the family of the late Senator. His Grandmother was in attendance. The NACWC was established over 125 years ago. Our mission is uplifting women, children, families, the home and the community through service, community education, scholarship assistance and the promotion of racial harmony among all people, so that those we serve are better able to take their proper and rightful place in society as citizens, community leaders, parents, and family members.
