** SCDOT Hosts Public Information Meeting For The Proposed Bridge Replacements of S-55 (Miller Road) Over Shot Pouch Branch and S-114 (Hauser Street) Over Turkey Creek In

Sumter County**

The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) will hold a Public Information Meeting and is requesting public comments for the proposed bridge replacements of S-55 (Miller Road) over Shot Pouch Branch and S-114 (Hauser Street) over Turkey Creek in Sumter County, SC.

The meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, from 5-7 PM at The Clyburn Intermodal Transit Center Pavilion located at 129 S Harvin Street, Sumter, SC 29150. SCDOT staff will be available to discuss the concept design and project details, and members of the public will have an opportunity to provide written comments.

**SC Legislative Black Caucus Minority Business Forecast Event**

As Chair of the South Carolina Legislative Black Caucus (SCLBC), it gives me great pleasure to continue an event started during my tenure as Chair, the Second Annual Minority Biasness Forecast.

Monday, March 28, 2022, from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm, SCLBC will host the Minority Business Forecast as a virtual event and live streamed on Facebook and YouTube.

The purpose of this event is to bring together lawmakers and South Carolina business leaders and professionals for a frank discussion on the topics and issues vital to minority business competitiveness and overall success. The event will also help link SC DBE firms with state and local agencies and departments seeking minority business participation.
