Community Members Encouraged To Donate At Tidelands Health Blood Drive Feb. 28 In Pawleys Island
Community members can donate from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 28, at Tidelands HealthPoint Center for Health and Fitness, 12965 Ocean Highway in Pawleys Island. Look for The Blood Connection bloodmobile in the parking lot.
There is a critical need for people to donate blood to replenish low national, regional and local supplies. The COVID-19 pandemic has led to fewer blood drives nationwide and fewer blood donors. But the need for blood to treat accident victims, cancer patients, those who need blood transfusions and other patients remains. The combination of fewer donations and ongoing demand has led to the critical shortage in supplies. All blood types are needed.
